Please arrive on time and bring a notepad and writing materials as there is an assessment element to the course.

Please note that employees of GLL are required to attend in uniform including name badge.

General Information

First Aid at Work Courses are intended to cover incidents and situations arising in the workplace. The aim of the course is to provide the skills to safeguard work colleagues and members of the public.

Having the correct first aid provision in your workplace is not only a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of you and your employees.

Course Content & Structure

The First Aid at Work course is HSE-recognised and Ofqual-accredited. It covers primary and secondary care and the treatment and management of medical emergencies in the work place. This is a very informative course and students will enjoy taking part in active exercises that simulate emergency situations.

The course is three days long and includes 18 hours of training.

Assessment takes place throughout the course and tests a student’s ability to carry out cardiopulmonary  resuscitation (CPR), First Aid on a casualty who is unconscious and on a casualty who is wounded / bleeding.
